CMAA Community Service Event – Sherwood Forest Beach Cleanup – December 16th

On Saturday, December 16th CMAA will sponsor a Community Service event doing a beach cleanup at Sherwood Forest Beach (Waimanalo Bay State Recreation Park). If you are interested in participating, please RSVP by December 13th. This is a great opportunity to perform some service to our community, families and friends are welcome to join the fun!

Our cleanup has been coordinated with the City & County of Honolulu, Dept. of Parks & Recreation, Adopt A Park which is providing trash bags, clean up tools, and refuse disposal.

 

We will be cleaning the beach, shoreline, and park area. By bringing attention to this phenomenon we hope to encourage people to be more responsible with their disposal behaviors and even more importantly their consumer behaviors.

 

This is going to be a really FUN dirty job and we look forward to executing this event with you. Bring family and friends, the more the merrier. Check in 8:00AM at Sherwood Beach parking lot, see location on map.

 

Work may include being in the water.  Dress accordingly.

  • Work Clothes
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Change of Clothes
  • Family and Friends that want to help clean up
  • Beach Chairs
  • A Beach Towel

 

A BBQ will occur from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Lunch will be provided (Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and chips)
