Update: Mahalo for the overwhelming response to our upcoming community service event! We have filled all of our volunteer slots for this event!

On Sept 16, we will be able to assist Child and Family services and our community through refurbishing living spaces for two families to immediately move into!

Support for our community through events such as this one are one of foundations of CMAA Hawaii- we are fortunate to have so many people willing to help.

On Saturday September 16^th CMAA will sponsor a community service event doing cleaning and painting at Child & Family Service’s (CFS) transitional housing site in Honolulu, in the Nuuanu/Kuakini/School Street neighborhood.

We have the opportunity to perform a community service event that could make a real difference in the lives of a few families.

There is a small apartment building in town that is being used to house families who are victims of domestic violence. They have 2 apartments that currently need rehabilitation (cleaning and painting). One also needs a new sink and toilet. Once these are done new families can immediately move in. The apartments are each 2 bedrooms and 2 bath.

I strongly support this event, with a little work, we can make a big difference to a couple of families who need the help. Continue reading →
